HENK VAN HEMMEN ART
Henk van Hemmen (1932- 2010) was a marine engineer. He was an engineer through and through, but also a pretty good draftsman. He also often drew cartoon like illustrations to his notes and even his technical reports. Later in life he started to dabble in pictorial art with maritime as his main subject. He drew pictures and made painting for his family and friends. The subjects generally had a direct connection to the recipients and became cherished objects through these connections. Henk kept a record of the pictures he painted and gave away. These are some examples.
